Convector maintenance and cleaning will begin on Monday, April 10, 2017 between 9am – 5pm. During this time, all convectors in your unit will be cleaned, inspected and prepped for the transition to Air-Conditioning. By county law, we must have Air-Conditioning available no later than May 15th. We will work as expeditiously as possible to have the Air-Conditioning available in advance of the May 15th deadline. Due to the Building’s Tier system, we are unable to easily switch between heat and air-conditioning; however, we have disabled the heat pumps in the building in an effort to circulate comfortable air. The switch from heat to air-conditioning takes approximately two (2) days; one day for the system to completely drain and one day for the system to produce cold air. It is expected that residents may endure a few uncomfortable days in-between the switch.
During the convector cleaning, the Maintenance staff will inspect for unit cleanliness, leaks, and functionality of the smoke detector(s) in your unit. If you have other issues that need to be addressed please submit such requests to your landlord; if applicable and shareholders are to make requests via the Management Office and NOT with the maintenance staff. A schedule of the convector cleaning is attached to this notice and will be posted outside of each elevator, updated regularly, for your convenience. Lastly, a final reminder will be distributed one day prior to access into your home.
